Maéva Ranaïvojaona

Maéva Ranaïvojaona is a French-Malagasy author, director and producer. In 2017 she opened the Paris office of Subobscura Films, together with Austrian producer and director Georg Tiller.

Recently finished productions include “When the Persimmons Grew” (2019, 119 min, director Hilal Baydarov), which won both the Jury and Interreligious Award at the Visions du réel film festival in Nyon as well as the Heart of Sarajevo for Best International Documentary at the Sarajevo Film Festival.

In 2020, „Zaho Zay” (78 min) co-produced and co-directed by Maéva Ranaïvojaona and Georg Tiller has been awarded at Fid Marseille and at the Viennale Film Festival.
